Speakers to hang on to for LIFE
I bought my Apogee Duetta Sigs new for $4100 in 1991. I don't believe for a minute that i could find any speaker which would produce better sound at that price. I'll keep these "boat anchors" and be very happy until either they or I die.
Most “disappeared” speakers.
Apogee Duetta Signatures...or pretty much any Apogee. If you cand find them.
Why the fascination with subwoofers?
I match a pair of Paradigm Servo 15's with my Apogee Duetta Sigs to pick up the 30 hz below the range of the Sigs. Sounds great on all music genres and did not cost a fortune. Got them used on Agon.

Starting out for about 1000.00
Music Hall MMF-7 comes complete with Goldring Eroica cartridge for under $1,000 new, or you can find one slightly used like I did for under $800.00. I also got a Creek phone section, and upgraded the cartridge to a Grado Reference Master (also pur...
Willl you spend over $5000.00 for speakers?
In 1991 I bought a pair of Apogee Duetta Signatures @ $4,000. At the time it was the most money, by far, I had spent on anything for music playback. I haven't even considered looking at or listening to anything else since.
