Looking for really fine cables at really low price
Just took delivery of my 6'8" WE 16g speaker wires. My first impression on taking them out of the package? "THESE are purportedly going to beat what I have now?!"They're so small, so narrow, so light... so old. I'd hesitate to hook up a lamp with t...
odyssey kismet or sanders magtech?
You would do best to concentrate your efforts on one thread, not two.As I mentioned on your other thread, you can easily do a trial of the Magtech with no risk. Let your ears decide. I can't speak to the Odessy. That said, some of what you've hear...
Sanders magtech or odyssey kismet
You're at no risk if you try the Sanders Magtech. Roger will send it to you, you can try it for 30 days, and you can return it if you don't think it's a good fit.I would recommend a thorough demo of the Magtech. While Roger claims that his amp doe...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price
Daggnabit...I should've gotten there earlier. Although I got the used 6'8" wire pairs, when I tried to order off the spool in order to double run, I couldn't seem to muster up enough quantity to get the job done."3 left", I assume means "3 feet le...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price
Jet -- Yes, indeed. This should be interesting, especially given the price. So, I picked up the two pairs of 6' 8" 16g "tinned 25 tinny strands" seen HERE, one pair for each speaker on a single-strand run. Seems cool, and I don't have to wait the 1...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price
Jet --Thanks for the link. I popped on 2 pairs. They had me at "soaked in" and it looks as though 6' 8" will just about work, although I'll have to clip those terminals off.Next issue is that my Maggies only take bananas, so I won't be able to go ...
Looking for really fine cables at really low price
Mikirob --Problem is, I think I'm looking at the stranded tinned, but it doesn't say so specifically. I have a message in, but so far, no reply. It would be nice if the listing was more specific... don't want to buy the wrong thing.

Sadly, I don't think 6' will work for my needs. I'll double check, though.

Because of the length of this thread, I held off reading it for quite a while. Now I regret that.Could someone please provide a link to the *exact* WE16 that Tajacobs is selling on eBay (if there's any left.) There are a lot of products on her pag...
Looking for new DAC: one box or two?
Sabai,I agree with you on all points you mentioned. Like you, I'm not fond of the rah-rah marketing, but the DS is a remarkable product, particularly for the relatively low price. With Yale Final OS, Ted pulled a rabbit out of his hat.As for Coli ...
Jitterbugs from Audioquest and the Regen
There goes Coli (aka iloc) again, trashing and bad-mouthing the DS at every possible opportunity. This includes slandering Ps Audio on another forum, which is a really low-budget move on his/her part.I'm not sure when this little hissy-fit will en...
Looking for new DAC: one box or two?
Many, many people - myself included - have had very positive results with FPGA DACs, so I certainly wouldn't rule them out.As always, YMMV.
