RME ADI-2 fs DAC: Not Loving It
Agree, not user user friendly. If there was an app or software that would allow for manipulation from afar it might improve the situation. Going through all of the button permutations at the stereo rack is not practical. Also agree that it imparts n...
why do so many discussions turn contentious?
You mean "jerks", like the kind that would run around with "Im a doctor and voted for Biden" pasted on their forehead?
CD Ripper Ethernet conundrum
Just a word of caution. My PC picked up a corrupted file preventing any practical use. I was unable to reset to a previous state or restore it so I ended up wiping the drive for a fresh start.Unfortunately, SURPRISE, all material that was ripped b...

Microphonics a problem only if you tap it.Enjoy mine quite a bit. 2nd harmonic distortion.Easy to build like Amp Camp. Not $
Just what percentage of digital artifacts removed
When I go from listening to vinyl, back to cd, which is rare because I prefer CD most of the time, I always have the same impression- that CD has some annoying global sibilance, for lack of a better descriptor.I remember this same impression of CD...

Axpona Audio Show in Chicago this weekend
Any FPGA DACs made in the US? Hmm, Maybe a potential niche?

I think there is truth in the OP and Mahgister.Rotation is effective since our ears can be trained to decrease or eliminate repetitive sounds. It works on me from time to time.Mahgister is also correct, not to mention the bravest one here on Audio...

I feel bad for GenX'ers that missed out on the 60s and 70s.
I did enjoy the music of the 60s and 70s growing up, on the radio, just as the OP did most likely. There are local radio stations and sirius tunein etc that have the same format as we did, today.I did go to concerts albeit of a later generation an...

I totally agree with MS59. My wife and I say that to each other all the time. However, although we never saw these bands live, we did enjoy discovering them on the am radio night and day :-)The 80s are mixed bag, 90s few and far between, and 2000s ...

Gustardx26 pro vs RME ADI2FS
Pauly, can you post a link to a(or your) audiophile battery, maybe one for sale? Let us know if disconnecting the battery with the stock PS made a difference. I'm thinking it would.BTW, the manual for the RME is a great read. Does not feel at all ...
