Any Experience with Audio Envy SP12?
@rlb61 Are you still happy with your AE SP12 speaker wire? Do you have a feel for how my hours it takes to hear their best?  Do you run your system 24/7 when breaking in new stuff?  If you do, it’s easier track the hours.
Grimm MU1 Streamer - Really "The Best"?
@nyev the OP,  Did you try the SR purple fuse in your Innuos Zenith Mk 3?  I say try, of course because there is zero risk.  It can be returned. I’m very interested to hear your thoughts on it, if you try one. At the risk of overstating the mat...
New Synergistic Master Fuse
@lordmelton that is an interesting proposal.  I appreciate it. There is yet another wrinkle, however.  A dealer tells me Isol-8 has a conditioner that he prefers to the Puritan for sound quality.  I’ll probably try it in the next 30-60 days.  If ...
New Synergistic Master Fuse
BTW, the April issue of Enjoy The Music has Rick Becker’s world-premier review of the SR Master Fuse.  If I’m recalling correctly, he acknowledges the open question of what to do if one is torn between dac and streamer (for those that stream).
New Synergistic Master Fuse
@jmfinney I am trying to decide between putting one in my integrated vs streamer. Considering SR suggests putting the Master in source gear or a conditioner, I’m only considering my integrated because it has a dac. Or perhaps more technically corr...
FUSE BOX delivers perfect protection and superior sound
Thanks to the earlier adopters of this product for posting. If anyone has a link to comprehensive product information, I’d love to have it.  It sounds like the product comes with sluggo’s of brass and copper for the user to experiment with.  Is...
New Synergistic Master Fuse
@lordmelton Thank you very much for the help. Really appreciate it.
New Synergistic Master Fuse
Great question, Lordmelton.  The only viable place for a Master fuse is in my streamer.  My conditioner has no fuse and my Lyngdforf 3400 does the dac-ing and also has no replaceable fuse.  A purple in my streamer has been amazing, but I can sell ...
Qln, Joseph Audio, Audiovector, Marten, or Canton...?
54 weeks ago I traveled to a dealer to hear QLN P 3’s, R3 Arrete’s and anything else he might have.  The demo was be done on the same integrated amp and streamer that I owned. The speakers and seat were set up carefully in a very proper listening...
RiP Peter Breuninger AVShowrooms
Just learned of Peter’s passing from a friend. At this year’s Axpona, I was not in the building 60 yet, when Peter and Terry came walking by in the lobby.  I caught their eyes in order to tell them I enjoyed their videos. My condolences to his f...
Competitive class D amp suggestions
+1 @snapsc I just heard Mr. Pass mention 2nd order harmonics in an interview. But your question about whether 3rd order harmonics is pleasing for complex music is interesting. And, while it may seem intuitive to presume that a system that can d...
Competitive class D amp suggestions
+ @tweak1 — A good power cord on the Voyager is a is a must. —spring pods are such a deal (mine are autocrast. Same as nobsound. Inexpensive and so effective). Autocrast spring pods under my speakers are by far the best of the 4 vibration-man...
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager?
@markmuse : “It is closer than I expected it to be” The above line is what made me wonder if you specifically had a hunch one of these would sound better than the other.  But I get that you very well may have just not expected any two amps to be...
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager?
@markmuse  appreciate the initial comparison of AVA225 and LSA Voyager.  You say you didn’t expect the two amps to be so close.  Curious which one you expected to sound better?
GaN amps: Peachtree or LSA Voyager?
@markmuse Audiovector R3 Arrete’.  They are 8 ohm and 90.5 sensitive.  A  friend of mine was just over and he liked them very much.  He has a big room and really enjoys his Fyne 704’s. The R3’s are the company’s smallest floorstander and happen t...
