UPS insurance claim denial advice

Best Sub to mate with magnepan 3.5
I agree 100% with Dar. I have owned Maggies and you will spend the rest of your life trying to match a sub with them. The best I have ever heard Maggies sound is in a bi-amped system using tubes to drive the mids and top end and a Crown Macro to d...
Music Reference RM9 vs RM9 MKII
i can honestly say, had UPS not dropped my RM 9 mkII i would still be enjoying it. people tend to keep them, even when they call themselves moving up to the next level. they are very musical and ultra dependable. i sent mine to the factory to chan...
Pre-AMP for Audio Research D-300 AMP
I have to agree with 89vet, either the SP-10 all tube or the SP-11 tube and solid state combination will work very well. My preference would be the SP-10, a VERY nice piece.
Tubes for Top, SS for Bottom--Good Idea?
I prefer the use of tube on top and ss on the bottom. No question ss produces a tighter, deeper bottom end. Tubes on the other hand are famous for fabulous mids and sweet highs. The secret is balance between the two. It is possible to find two amp...
UPS Question/Problem
I have had two products broken by UPS. It is best not to ship heavy packages via UPS, as they have a reputation for breaking heavy things.I had a $2,000. used amp (3,500 new) broken. I had the shipper write a letter stating that the amp belonged t...
Celestion SL700 - matching amp?
I totally agree with gordon, 700's and VTL are made for each I have spent many hours enjoying that combination. If your room is not very large, the triode mono blocks are very tasty. Of course if your room is very large the 700's are probably not ...
Electra Glide Interconnect
the problem with electra glide interconnects is that the are not designed to be taken in and out of systems the way many of do. the must be handled with care (more that most intercons) i replaced the cheap rca's and i mean cheap, with moonglo rca'...
Shahinian Acoustics Loudspeakers
i have owned a pair of obelisk for 20 years. since then i have owned 5 other speakers in various systems. i will always keep the obelisk. the are smooth yet detailed. not the lowest bass reproduction but tight.i am currently using them in a bedroo...
Cable Upgrade from SW Virtuoso
i onced owned a music ref. mk II and loved it, that's before UPS played full court with it. i also had SW virtuoso. i tried lots of cables and intercons. if you can afford it the cresendo is a great choice as is the nordost SPM.even the nordost bl...
Stereophile article on TUBES
sorry, i don't know which issue it is. check out kevin deals website at www.upscaleaudio.com for a very good sonic discription and visual identification of a whole host of tubes. good luck james
What is the best digital interconnect
i have tried most the digitals on the market at one time or another. most are very good and all are system dependent. you must try them before buying (if you can) i have had the most success with digitals from nordost (moonglo) and from electragli...
Maggie 3.5/VTL 300 Monos/Spectral DMC 10
i had great success with maggies and tubes. i used straight wire virtuoso and a tubed pre-amp. the 300's have enough power to produce good bottom and maggies, straight wire and vtl should be a wonderful match
