Holo Audio Spring (Kitsune version)
Also the Soekris dacs seem to be good alternatives, but their higher end dacs aren't out yet though.
Holo Audio Spring (Kitsune version)
1markr, that's a valid comparison actually, delta-sigma dac vs NOS. I'm surprised you didn't enjoy the Holo, as technologically it seems to be great.  DId you try it in balanced or single ended mode? I'm wondering may be if it was an impedance mis...
Tekton Double Impacts
Needs more tweeters I think...few spots left on that front baffle yet...
Rethm Maarga Impressions.
soloist1, there'd be no point. that wouldn't give you any idea of what it actually sounds like.
Tekton Double Impacts
Ok, I just purchased a pair of Signature SEs recently after extensive auditioning. I'm just curious about the Tektons.

mac48025, what did the Focus SEs lack in comparison to the DIs?  I'd assume the AMT mid/tweeter section would be a lot better than the ring radiator array on the DI?
How long does a DAC take to burn in?
I think only speaker drivers open up or burn in...the rest is probably you getting used to the sound.
suggestions for Windows 10 software please, , laptop to USB DAC, AIFF files, remote app
MediaMonkey is the best for me, grabs everything in your library, easy search functionality and easy to play whatever you are in the mood for.  And can output bit perfect by ASIO.Never liked the JRiver interface.
“Invest” in Tekton?
You could always just buy the front two speakers now and buy the rest as you sell of gear to fund the purchases.

I’ve heard both extensively while choosing. Both great, but for me Legacies were better and essentially more for the money. I was looking for sound cues and in Fleetwood Mac’s "Dreams", during the chorus, the male vocals seemed to come from below ...
Small living room speaker options.. Totem Arro?
The Studio HD seems to be 93 db though...if you go to the specifications tab on their website. Either way I'd always suggest auditioning what you can. However I've found out about Legacy very recently and they kinda blew me away (another model), b...
Sonus Faber vs Focal and maybe even Dynaudio or PSB
For your budget, I'd go with Focal, I think you'll get the best bang for the buck.
Small living room speaker options.. Totem Arro?
Legacy Studio HD for sure, you get an AMT tweeter and their kickass mid/woofer.http://legacyaudio.com/products/view/studio-hd/
Small living room speaker options.. Totem Arro?
I'm a fan of Totem speakers, I've heard the Model 1 Sigs and Sky's.  I saw the Arros and they are indeed very small, so they'll aesthetically for sure.
