What are you streaming tonight?
A thought about this thread: I check here often to look for new music to listen to. I like Qobuz but it sucks when it comes to recommending stuff based on your previous listening. As far as I can tell it does not have that feature at all and I mig...

@ovinwar, I have found some of U2's later recordings to be that way, in particularly Achtung Baby. Sounds fine in the cars or MP3 w/ ear buds. Can hardly listen to it on my main system.Right now, listening to Art Blakey - Moanin'
Classe' Sigma SSP. Is it outdated?
It did finally sell. I don't remember how much I got for it. The money went to the estate.

@jjss49: I will certainly look into Kenny Burrell. Thanks.@stuartk: Thanks for those recommendations as well.

stuartk, I am branching out with the artists you mentioned. I think I'm drawn now to the late bop and early modal stuff. As for your question, I'm not sure.  I think it will take some more thought since I like all of the songs. Probably not sophist...
What would be your favorite 3 tracks that demonstrate how great your system sounds?
Dire Straights - You and Your FriendSting - The Wild Wild Sea from Soul Cages QSound CDMiles Davis- Kind of Blue SACDBonus: Anything from Steely Dan’s Two Against Nature (Any lossless format will do).
The Black Keys - Delta Kream
I love the song but it sounds terribly compressed to me. All of their other stuff is too.For those interested, check out Jimmy "Duck" Holmes, a modern blues man from Mississippi. Auerbach plays some on his latest album. Maybe produces it as well?A...
The Black Keys - Delta Kream
Just listened to Crawling Kingsnake........sounds just like Auerbach's take on Junior Kimbrough......which is what I like so much about Chulahoma. I think I'm going to love this album.
The Black Keys - Delta Kream
I look forward to hearing it. I like the band. I like what they have done with and for a number of blues men. Loved their last album but my favorite is still Chulahoma.
Kind of Blue SACD on a whim.
@mrdecibel It was a typo. You are correct my pre is the LS-16 (earlier version) not LS-15. The later model LS-16 MkII had a different tube configuration. I will definitely look up "A Tribute to Jack Johnson". Thanks for the tip.
WHAT IS THE MOST UNIQUE SONG THAT YOU HAVE EVER HEARD?
Troglodyte by The Jimmy Castor Bunch. Funny. Awesome funk baseline.https://youtu.be/JNS42Na2mpcHappy Boy by the Beat Farmers. Possibly the only song in history to include a gargling solo.https://youtu.be/LEZtII8rt_Y@clearthink The New Oxford Ameri...

I have a pair of 6Ts in my living room. They sound pretty good too.
Kind of Blue SACD on a whim.
@jafant My main system: Audio Research LS-15 tube pre-amp, Proceed Madrigal HPA-2 amp (Levinson), Oppo BDP-105D player, Aerial Acoustics 7B towers with Transparent Super Bi-wire cables.
Kind of Blue SACD on a whim.
Correction: My reference to All Blues above should have read Flamenco Sketches.

Got the SACD today. It sounds great. DR is stellar as expected. And if it was anything but stellar this type of music would be ruined in my opinion. At moderately loud volume this SACD sounds fantastic. To me, low and marginal DR music sounds wors...
