Soundstage and image height, does it exist?
= High Fidelity = Full range. Box/xover speakers aint going to out perform a  Full range, = Sensitivity issues. under 90 db vs over 92db, High sens always wins out in a  shootout every single shootout. My tech here in new orleans continues his man...
objective vs. subjective rabbit hole
claim to audiophilic excellence without appealing to some "objective" criteri ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Exactly, w/o a objective stat, its impossible to say which is superior to another. The only criteria i consider in speaker se...
What defines mid-fi versus high-end?
Hi Fi = sensitivity 92db ++,  Mid/lo Fi = sensitivity below 90 db.  Which is why I only consider FR/Wide band as my speaker based on a  single  measurement which is sensitivity.  FR at above 96db is wayyy too high for my preference. 92-94 is pe...
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged.

To Buy or to DIY, here is my question
My future speaker build cut 6  holes in Tennessee Cedar, 2 FR + 3 to 4 tweeters Screw drivers in,. waaaa laaaa done.  Open Baffel is the only way to design FR. Boxes trash the sound of a   FR.  8  months will upload pics
To Buy or to DIY, here is my question
Another unmentioned advantage is the unusually wide sweet spot created when these waveguide speakers are severely toed in, because of the proximity effect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ what kind of snakeoil is this. ??? ***wave guide**??? Trying to rei...
To Buy or to DIY, here is my question
Just my 2 cent opinion, Here ya go, worlds best midrange My 1955 Puccini Turnadot Erede as conductor La Scala UNREALL, No xover speaker in the universe will touch this midrange. Even unto Wilson’s 800K design. Dual FR rules. I’ve heard many a spea...

WTX  Woofer Tweeter Xover Speaker could refer to even Bose or a  B$W. Horn Stat/ESL FR WTX All WTX;'s have the same issues.  Horns have their issues,  Stats/ESL's have their liabliities  and I guess FR might have a downside,, Just have...

So you define mid-bass as 20hz-150hz...interesting🤣 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   all woofers are basically **mid-bass drivers*** and note most every high end tweeer is labeled **mid-tweeter*. 10hz-100hz 100hz-500hz 500hz-1khz 1k-1500hz 1500-2500hz ...
