Do any still use an older high end tuner from the past?....
I have a Sansui TU-X1.I’m a jazz fanatic. There’s only one jazz station in LA.I've always considered my tuner as a tool to find new jazz music.Consequently it doesn’t get much use due to bounty of jazz stations all over the world via streaming...al...

I've been away from the 'Gon for about a year and a half. You guys are still as witty and hilarious as you were when I left.LOL!It's good to be back.
The Magnificent Magnepan 30.7 speakers....wait, I don’t like planars!
With the sheer size of these speakers, very few people have the room to accommodate them. I’d hate to see them crammed into a room that’s too small to maximize their potential.....but they’ll fit nicely in my room though.;-)
New D'Agostino Monoblocks...$250,000
Friends and guests ask me what my rig costs all the time.  I've never told anyone what my stuff costs.  Anyone that knows audio already knows or have a pretty good idea what it costs, and won't be taken aback.Anyone who doesn't know audio wouldn't...

.slimkikins5...If a guy can afford $250k for a pair of amps, he really doesn't need to worry about resale value.  Guys that buy Rolls Royces don't worry about resale value, because they already know that in 10 years, the car will be worth one eigh...

.So, if retail is $250k, what would the dealer cost be for an amp like this? Can dealers afford to buy this and demo it in their showrooms?

.I wonder how those $150,000 Master Reference monoblocks are holding up that Dan produced at Krell 15 years ago?Any electronic equipment costing that much has to have a lifetime guarrantee justify its price.

Anyone care to estimate how many pairs of these per year will be sold? How many pairs do you think he needs to sell to break even?
thoughts on new Adcom 585SE
I haven’t heard them, but they seem ideal if you have a need for power and if your speakers have a demanding load. I read a review somewhere that they are rock solid stable down to 2 ohms.Yes, I would buy them.
From Four 12 inch Woofers To Eight 12 inch Woofers, Will I Get Deeper Bass Or More Bass?
68pete, according to all the posts I’ve read here on the ’Gon regarding integrating subs into full range speakers seamlessly, it sounds damn near impossible.  This is for 2-channel listening only...this is not a home theater application.

jafant...I'm very familiar with the Kappa 9 and the power that they require.  That won't be a problem.  I still have the Pass amps. The whole reason for this approach is to get more bass in the room to emulate the Infinity IRS Beta speakers that I ...
