Magnepan .7 Alternatives
@flasd You didn't mention what kind of music you listen to. If it's heavy rock forget Maggies or Sonus Faber for that matter. If you don't play rock I can only think the speakers are emphasising poorly recorded material or as has been mentioned y...

Nord Purifi Class D amplifier. Still being built but should have it mid October. I don't expect it to exceed the SQ of my Rogue Stereo 90 or EAR/Yoshino 534 but hopefully it will at least get close and I'll be able to lift it without the danger of...

@oldhvymec Which Nord amp did you get and what do you think of the SQ?

tube pre & ss amp integrated
I have an Aesthetix Calypso preamp and love it.

Jacqueline Du Pre (cellist) New Box Set
Anyone out there who, like me , were fortunate enough to see and hear Jacqueline DuPre play live would perhaps agree that it was not just her technical brilliance which made her great but also the unbounded enthusiasm she brought to a performance....
tweak1 I'm surprised you haven't been pilloried for positive comments re Chinese clone cables on this site. I too tried Odin 2 and Cardas Clear Light cables and had the same reaction as you, great value cables beating anything I had heard costing...
