Absolutely beautiful work. The only question I would have is why didn't you match the trim on your speakers. I'm in the process of building my own speakers stands and the first thing I thought of was matching the stain color on my speakers.
Furman Elite -15i linear filtering AC power source
I think for my application of Mcintosh and dvd or Mac and digital (wadia and MF V-DAC) source or 42" plasma a 15amp unit should be more than plenty.Maybe (future) my theater will need a 20amp maybe two 20amp units.
2 subs?
sorry for the triple post
2 subs?
No stereo subs, run a "Y" connector and run both on one line into your processor. The only way to go for HT. Two really makes a difference.

Thanks to all of you who mentioned U2. Somebody gave me theU2:Go Home double disc CD for my birthday. It was awful. My contribution would have to be Keiko Matsui.
Mcintosh MA6500, monitor speaker suggestions.
Intriguing to say the least. Confusing though. My thinking was going from a 8ohm speaker system to a 4ohm speaker system would give the overall sound a more robust maybe even a MA6900ish quality. 101 db senitivity is absolutely amazing, but isn't ...

Zorro, thanks for bringing up Dynaudio, they have alwaysimpressed me in the higher end audio stores. Could be an attractive option. I think I like the fact that they are4ohm speakers, that would raise the output of the MA6500to 200 wpc. Have you t...
Difference between 720p and 1080p projectors?
I upgraded from an Optoma H77 (which I loved) to a Epson7500ub last year. Also as part of this upgrade, I went from a Pioneer Elite SD dvd player to a Pioneer elite blu-ray player. The difference is honestly night and day. The Epson ($3000) is so ...
Humbled by indecision
I couldn't agree with Tpreaves more. The only way to achieve a good balance with timber and audio transition from front to back or sides to front is to operate with the same speakers. I would go even further and say all the speakers should really ...
Stainless Steel columns for speaker stands
Thanks George,What a site, complete with photoshop created images.I Love it. Thats the good news, the bad news is that they want my budget for one tube.As luck would have it, I called a metal fabricator locally and found exactly what I want cut to...
Stainless Steel columns for speaker stands
Elevick, for 18" length I'm hoping for $100 for the two. I don't think I will spend alot more. The table legs are 2.5" by 14" were about $18 a pop.
Stainless Steel columns for speaker stands
The stainless steel tube will only be cosmetic. It will go over a 3.5" hardwood post with a black rubber gaskets on the base and under the top plate. It will match a low level granite slab with 2.5" diameter polished stainless steel legs that I bo...
