Audio Research VTM200 VS ARC 210's?
no one?
Audio Research Ref. 210 questions
I finally got some new power cables. I chose the Fusion Audio Impulse power cables. They improved every aspect of the 210 sound. The Impulse are a silver/copper foil type cable. Very much worth the $$$.. They only have about 30-40 hrs on them and ...
ARC VT-200 Cooling Fan Noisy, nit picking?
Dev & JC - I got the fans from specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=5876&cat=0&page=1- they were about $50 shipped to the USA - I just cut the existing fan wires and soldered the new fan in - they fit perfectly with ...

I got the BTF80Pro fans for my 210's. They are about dead quiet ;)
Audio Research Ref. 210 questions
Dev, it seems the 210's really need time for the listener to become accustomed to them. I find them very musical and not rolled at either end - just very enjoyable with 3d wraparound quality. The soundstage is quite a bit wider than the Lamms in m...

Hi Dev, thanks for the pc info. As far as your question: I sold the Cary's because I bought some Innersound Kaya electrostats. I called Cary and they said not to use the 211's with the Kaya's. The Kaya's have a wicked dip to .9 ohm with a 75 degre...

hi Dev, I'm using a BAT VK52-SE pre and Usher BE-20 speakers. I did sell the 211's but had a totally different system at the time. The fans are real easy to replace and I plan on doing that. I have the covers off for now and the fans disconnected....

thanks for the reply. The amps were preowned and have been thur the first set of tubes. The current tubes have about 40 hrs so I guess they will need more time too..?
Usher Be20
you can remove the grill by inserting a thin credit card between the baffle and grill - just wiggle a bit and you can get a grip on the grill to remove. I think they 20's look much better with the woofer grills removed.
Electrostat - M-L; Quad or Soundlab - reliable
According to Roger Sander's the Innersound panels have never failed.
What 6922's tubes are you using in your lamm s ?
I use Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8's (early 60's) in my M1.2 - I like them ;)
Parasound JC1 or Spectron Musician 3 se
Sean: I just haven't updated it - to many changes to keep up with, ehhe.. I've sold the 5A's and all the Cary gear.Tony

I'm using the Lamm M1.2 monos with my Kayas. Excellent match and even though the Lamm's are rated at 110wpc in class A @ 4 ohms, I have never felt them run out of steam. My ears give out much sooner ;)
speaker cable recommendation for Innersound Kaya
I bought some Ridge Street Audio Alethias! biwire. I had a little mishap with the Innersound xover/amp so I bought a new ESL amp from Roger along with a pre-programmed Behringer DCX2496 xover. I haven't tried the RSA cables yet. I get the amp/xove...
