Best Audio Sale Story Ever Occurred about 10 years ago.   A young European guy wanted to buy my whole system from me. Custom Conn organ tube amp, Nakamichi BX125, Rega Planar 3, Yamaha int amp used as a preamp, Celestion 100 speakers and my audi...

Chip amps, not spoken about much, except on the diy sites.
russ69, there is also very many high powered chip amps out there too.  The only high powered one I heard was from Channel Islands and it was very good.   Mostly, I feel that these chip amps really benefit from a tube preamp in front of it.

I’ve owned several of the Derek Sanderson Fleawatt amps and have always enjoyed them very much.  At the time, I had a 3 wpc 6B4G SET (basically a 6V 2a3 I was told), and after hearing a 3118 or 3116 chip amp, I could not justify running tubes as t...
Audiolab CDT 6000 Owners: Share the Love + Need help with time settings for Pause
I just got one 2 months ago, not sure I understand what you mean by “pause clock?”  Kind of hate how it always goes into stand by.  Minor inconvenience, it’s a very solid transport.
A decent integrated amp under 2K ...
Please forgive me, I’ve only skimmed the comments and not in detail here, but it appears that you have your choice of both the Croft and the Belles integrated amps right now on USAM. Here are the links: https://www.usaudiomart.com/details/64981...
Mark Audio 12P Full Range...An Amp question
I had the CHR70.3’s a while back and Mark Audio recommended 100 hours of break in at very low volume, so it took several days to do it right.  The 12P’s might require the same break in time, so be patient.
Virtual System in a tranquil room
Ok, this post hasn’t gotten any traction at all, and while I can edit the post itself, I cannot edit the title of it.   So, in case anyone views this, let’s make this a free for all discussion.  Maybe post pictures of yourself, your family, your...
Starting over
Thank you mahler123 and ghdprentice.  I see so many of these posts where people just indiscriminately offer suggestions on individual components without asking any questions or taking things together as a whole.  I like to be sensible and systemat...
Starting over
This is very general, so help us to help you by giving some further details on your room and current system. In order to really help you without just shouting out names of equipment, which everyone seems to do, please provide as much detail as pos...

Beautiful listening rooms
The brick room reminds me of the basement bar in Inglorious Bastards.  Looks like it could have been filmed there.
Antique Sound Labs
I had the ASL MG15siDT, regretted selling it.  Very nice unit.
The Audiophile's Wife
OMG!  I love her!  She’s terrific, but then again, you already know that.     It’s very late here so I just read this past month’s blogs, but next time will have to start at the beginning and binge read it. Very witty and entertaining.
