Tonearm recommendations under $1500
@ledoux1238  LOL that's Arthur for you... He designed the Pink Triangle turntables and can be a bit 'Heath Robinson'. I know there's a review on one of thee arms by HiFi News, but as an innovator he's always 'cooking' something new.  I must say...

I’ve seen a few - did a Google search and clicked on images - try it if not done so already.
Which arms share the Rega Geometry?
I think some of the funk firm arms
1st cartridge upgrade on 1st TT
£1k is a good budget for an MC. Don’t feel limited on cartridges to just Rega over VTA - either get spacers or a Ringmat with vta adjustment as they apparently go really well with the RP8. For £1k I’m sure u can get the Shelter 301 or the cheapest...
Solid State Phono Stages
Try and source a Vendetta SCP2A - or derivatives - and don’t worry about a phono stage again.  I personally am not a fan of tubes although I haven’t tried enough to give an ipso facto critique. That said if you want a musical phono stage both thos...

@karl_desch ur right 😉
FR64 to FR66 conversion Analogmagik
Well This is going to a second arm on either my EMT 950 (for which I will make a custom mount) or my JVC QL10 for which I am building my own plinth. It's purely a performance thing. Price wise it is not extortionate especially when done at the ...

@lewm you bad man 👿 😂
how much should I spend to get a better turntable than my current turntable?
If u are willing to be patient and will buy second hand look out for a technics sl1200 very solid and upgradable too. Likewise check out for a classic dd from the 70’s Linn LP12’s can be had for your kinda money too
Linn LP 12
I don’t have a Linn, however, I have heard two superb LP12:   1. vinyl passion - everything looked at and improved - machining quality is wonderful. 2. The funk firm - not sure if they still make it but also a vast improvement over any Linn bas...
