Tone arm bounces
What I left out was that at high volume compatability issues really become obvious. At low to normal volume it may not be audible so you assume because it sounds good to you that all is well. The other thing you forgot to mention was the dynamic c...
Tone arm bounces
This sounds like a problem related to the cartridge choice and arm compatability. I would check the effective mass of the arm as well as the cartridge then look up the calculator online that determines the resonant frequency. From what you are des...
A wind-up Phonograph made by Micro Seiki?
Where can I go to get it appraised? I live in California and there is nothing like it to forma a basis. I just unpacked two new in the box BL-21 belt drives, two speed, blank arm board, no arm, no platter mat, no manuals either but they are ebony ...
fritz loudspeakers
I've known Fritz for a number of years and I can say he is one of the few out there who understands that not everyone has money to burn. When you buy from Fritz you get drivers normally found in speakers three to four times the price he charges. H...
The best speaker you ever heard?

Hemp Drivers, musicians lov'em, audiophiles?
I guess I should clarify what it is I'm trying to ask. Hemp is being used for so many applications these days. I just found out the door panels and dashboard in my '07 MBZ are made of hemp. Chosen for its moldability, strength, stiffness and natur...
Restoring a Transrotor Skeleton...help
Thanks for the responses, again I apologize for the mistake I made in the correct name. I've got custom tapered, etched glass with a blue tint in it installed all the way around. It's striking to look at by itself. Now I have ventured to below the...

Speltz Anti Cables
While I'm no expert or engineer, I have purchased The Speltz wire and many others here on the Gon. Some I was more pleased with than others. After a short in one "Anti-Cable" took me on a trip to my local electronics store looking for a quick fix....
Warped Records
Use an old TT to spin your record on, heat up your steam iron, add watter. Hold the iron horizontally over the record about 1.5-2 inches and let the steam hit the record. You might as well clean it while your at it, so get out a clean brush and us...
Please help with your opinion
I've got a great deal on three new tube amplifiers (one, a Hybrid and two are Tube Integrated with a remotes, two models under $500.00), which is the route I would suggest you take. The source turntable you have could benefit from some upgrades th...
MHZS CD player
I've owned one. It's a top loader with a window where you can see the tubes which are backlit by a blue LED. When I think back on it, now I probably should have kept it, but I was in a Transport frenzy at the time and wanted to try one of everythi...
Class T vs. Class D Digital Amps
I love my tripath amps. I have sampled quite a few. For what they typically cost anywhere from $25.00 up to $1,000.00 in my opinion nothing comes close. Of course certain parameters have to be met in order to acheive emotionally engaging music. Fo...
