Thumbs up for ultrasonic record cleaning
80kHz is much quieter than 40kHz.  A combination of both frequencies gives the best results.  40kHz means larger vacuum bubbles with greater implosive force,.  80kHz yields less force but more, smaller bubbles.@j_damon - 40 degrees C is too hot.

Frustrated with Vinly
Needless to say, a record is a dirt magnet. The record can’t help it -- attracting dirt is part of its DNA. Dibasic lead stearate or cadmium or other esters of stearic acid make up as much as 2 percent of the vinyl compound. These add...
Lamm phono stage LP2.1 Deluxe with low output ZYX MC cart
I recently used a 0.35mv Fuuga on the same Lamm LP2.1 + a Lamm L2.1 Ref and that combo was fine, but I would not go much lower in output.  Imo, moving coils delivering 0.25mv or less need more than 60dB of gain. I believe Lamm could swap out the...

About L'Art du Son: As long it's not harmfull for the vinyle and the result is good, what's the problem? It's unnecessary for cleaning imo. But If you want a coating on your records, do as you prefer.

Regarding Versa-Clean’s high TDH ...... It is recommend to do, as terry9 says, " heroic rinsing". No doubt. Using the solution formula I outlined gets records clean without need for a packaged product. If the solution used is clean after records ar...

Breakdown of Turntable Performance

VAN DEN HUL
Would VDH ddt ii special work well with that tonearm?Maybe.  The problem in knowing more is the lack of requisite specifications published on-line by van den Hul for the DDT-II Special.  vdH publishes most specs on the inside of the lid of a cart...
Cartridge Set Up Essentials
Mijostyn - you talk a lot and love to name drop but you simply don't have enough experience to know what's possible in high-end audio.  Precision alignment  makes a significant positive difference. You can deny that but it just reflects your lack ...
Isonic vs Kirmuss vinyl record cleaner
Will ultrasonic cleaning in general be a noticeable improvement over the VPI? Thanks for your help That depends on your technique and the cleaning fluid.  If you use AIVS enzyme fluids, and do several rinse steps, you can get records reasonably ...
