Candidates for best speakers in the $2000-5000 market
Most of the speakers here would benefit from a Sub for full range bass... even for music?   The Triton 2+ has them built in.  Used, they could be had for your budget, maybe even the 1R.  I love my Triton 3+ but haven't heard the big brothers.

Reviews for Energy RC-10 are very very strong, plus I owned a pair for about 15 years and just recently upgraded. They were terrific for music (Video requires a bit more bass, but then there are subs for that). They are very strong for less than $...
