Noise w/interconnects
I put my ic's back in my system today and they're working fine. I have no idea why they were picking up noise before. I'm just glad it's gone.

I have the "ground" end at the source. I haven't added anything. Go figure.
Noise w/interconnects
Thanks. I'll give it a try. The weird thing is that I've had the cables for about two years and it just started happening. One end of the cables is labeled "Ground" if that makes any difference. I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to this stuff.
Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge
Thanks. I'll increase the weight to 2 grams and see if that helps. I've had it set at 1.8.

Cartridge for Sony PS-X6
Thanks for the responses. I've read great things about the Denon but it's just more than I want to spend right now. Glad to hear the Nag MP110 worked well with the PS_X5. That's probably the direction I'm heading.
Cary DVD-7 replacement
Thanks for the info, emper. And yes, please keep us posted on your thoughts on the Marantz vs. the Cary.

Amp for Pioneer FS52's
Thanks for the suggestions. I was intrigued by the Gallo’s. Are the Pioneer BS22’s the bookshelf version of the FS52’s?  I'm leaning towards floorstanders so he won't have to deal with getting stands.

Yogiboy, thanks for the response. Have you heard the Pioneer's? I went to Best Buy today to audition them but they no longer sell them.
Luxman 505ux vs. Rogue Pharaoh
I've used a solid state amp/tube preamp combo in the past, once using the Rogue 99 Magnum as my pre. I liked having the tubes in the chain. However, I would really like to stick with an integrated amp. I guess my main concern is with the Class D a...
McIntosh MA5200
Hi folks. Thanks for the input. I contacted McIntosh via email and Chuck Hinton replied that the 5200 would work just fine with 4ohm speakers. I need to go and listen and hear for myself. Again, I appreciate the feedback. I'm the type of Audiogone...

Tape deck hook up to integrated amp.
Thanks. That's what I thought. I was aware of the difference with the phono input just not sure about the tape. Wanted to make sure before I made a purchase. Thanks for easing my mind. :)
