NAD M51 upgrade
One other comment. People seem to think that DAC's are the end all be all of sound. Let me remind you that Analog is still king in the studio world. Analog synths and effects gear using tubes (gates, compressors, summing amps) operate in the analo...
NAD M51 upgrade
Thank you for the tip on the Sonnet Morpheus. I think that and the Lumin U1 Mini will be my next upgrades.

~$15K floorstanders: opinions sought
Go with actives. ATC or PMC. You will not be disappointed.
The best speakers over 50K
Do you have to spend over $50k? I'd check out the ATC SCM50ASL, ATC SCM100ASL and PMC IB2A-AII.
How do SVS subwoofers compare to REL?
Former REL owner here. Get a Rythmik F12. You will not be disappointed. They integrate just as well as REL and you get more for your money. Lower extension and musical, tight bass. I like REL subs but Rythmik is just better IMHO.
Looking for recommendation for a 3 way book shelf speaker with very good bass.
Paradigm Studio 40v2 Active. Flat down to 32Hz.
REL T/9i or S5
Rythmik F12. Save yourself some cash and get a superior product. I was a REL owner. Switched to Rythmik and have zero regrets.
I am looking for help selecting an amplifier to match my Revel F228Be speakers.
Btw Metrum went out of business so good luck with them.

I'd try another DAC first. Go to the local HiFi shop and 'borrow' one. Benchmark DACs are borderline mastering grade. You're going to have crispy highs with almost every SS amp you hook up to that thing.
Laid back DAC under $800?
FYI Metrum went out of business so if you go that route good luck on support if the DAC malfunctions
RME ADI-2 DAC FS is it "All That", especially for under $2,000?
I actually found the ADI-2 FS to be too much on the high frequencies for my liking and ended up keeping the NAD M51. The ADI-2 is definitely more detailed than the M51, but who cares about detail if you can’t actually enjoy listening. Compared to ...
Audiogon Is Noisy
You could say the same about half the websites on the internet

RME ADI-2 DAC FS is it "All That", especially for under $2,000?
Saying the ADI-2 FS has a narrow soundstage compared to DAC's with tube outputs is...obvious. That's the point of tubes - fatten up the imaging and expand the soundstage.Compared to other solid state DAC's the ADI-2 FS soundstage width/height/dept...
