Hum in Speakers with New Dedicated 20 amp Circuit
I haven’t checked the code in a while, but I think it’s because a panel is more or less permanent. With an outlet, if it’s out of the box, no earth. Gotta protect the unskilled from themselves.

mjjw: "The sub panel has been in for almost a decade." The panel is illegal. Insurance companies love illegal and uninspected installations 🤑

I color coded it. Yellow is the coming wire. Black hot. White is neutral. Green is ground.   Forget the color-coding. Competent electrical people can figure it out with a simple text label.   This is how it should be done.   And just...

There are so many unproven false claims that sometimes I fall off my chair laughing... in despair.

No need. In many regards, Audio itself is a joke today
How long do speakers last?
@allenf1963  It's a simple chemical fact that electrolytic capacitors degrade over time. "When life expectancies exceed 15 years the expected life of the capacitor should be limited to 15 years mainly due to the sealing materials deteriorating o...

Both are very hurtful ;-) Nowhere near as hurtful as seeing your friends lose their livelihood and homes. Computers drove me out of the studio and into manufacturing. Clapton also can't read music. There was a hilarious outtake floating aroun...

Quicksilver v4 monos vs CODA Continuum No. 8 Version 1.
Class A amps don't transition to any other class. They run at full power all the time. Class A/B run in class A until the signal is high enough to transition to class B. The class A to A/B transition feature is mostly just marketing.

Let’s stay under the topic. It’s not about my preference. I was asking about yours, if you have any.  I prefer topics like this were never started. There are about one hundred variables before and after the amp & speaker interface. Every s...
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
^^^^^ I thought this was a HiFi forum 😲
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
IF you have the space, two systems without a doubt. Movies are radio with pictures. Large screens can be covered with a quilt for HiFi. Projectors suck compared to OLED, well actually compared to any modern direct view. Use subs that have dual i...

Sad musician humor from the 80's:   "What do you call a drummer?" "Unemployed." Computers and drum machines destroyed pop music. 😢
