Things that make you go, "Hmmmmm...."

Where are Conicident Speaker Technology electronics made ?
Interesting to read the comments on this thread. I’m in the camp of not knowing where the electronics are made currently. Just like the car industry, there is a percentage of local content that must be achieved to qualify for the domestic status. ...

Power cords can make a tremendous difference in Digital

Adamaly, that’s great news to hear, thanks to you and callaway for the encouraging feedback. As good as the EMLs I’m using now are, having another level of improvement beyond that is a wonderful thing.

What in your mind represents real technological advancement.
+1 cd318While I had a grasp of Ed’s audio accomplishments, I wasn’t aware of his profound success elsewhere. Fun read, thanks for sharing!
Supratek or Don Sachs - which way to go?
The Modwright is a fine Preamp and particularly with good NOS tubes, it sounds fantastic. However It’s only when you compare it to the Supratek does one draw the conclusion it’s a little more grainy. Let’s put it other way..... the Supratek more; ...
Supratek or Don Sachs - which way to go?
@facten The Syrah was replaced by the Chenin around 2003. The main difference was the tubes used in the preamp phono section and the Chenin uses the Cortese phono circuit. The Chardonnay model is the current line stage iteration with no Phono sect...
Who makes this Pre-amp?
If I recall correctly I seen a few used TRL Dude preamps that had an option volume control along with the core requirements you laid out. There are a number of rightly regarded members praise it somic capabilities..
Supratek or Don Sachs - which way to go?
Markus - based on many reviews on both the Sachs and Supratek I believe you’re going to be happy one way or another. I’ve experimented with many high quality preamps with different tube configurations, and to me the 6sN7 is king, and not by a smal...
