So Weird- No Stylus Contact Woofer Pumping with Hana ML and Elac PPA-2
Not everyone is focused on magnetism. Have you read any of my posts? I’ve just grown weary of contradicting Holmz, who IS focused on magnetism. I let his last fantasy stand as is, because I did not want to appear to be picking on him. Like I ...

It is super interesting. Do you access to a compass like hikers use? I think even an iPhone with its magnetometer built in might work as a way to see if the mat is somehow magnetised. Sure, it is possible, that it is somehow related to wiring… bu...

A capacitor does not “block” a magnetic field. __ ____ Sherlock… but it blocks 33-1.3/60 Hz, as well as DC     but that’s not so much of a problem, because there cannot be a magnetic field generated from the Funk Firm Acromat, because it...

Has anyone here read the OP’s previous thread? What is your point here @deKay?   It is almost surely a magnetic field. I would do the test with the mat alone, and the record alone, but cannot fathom a mat being magnetic, however the fridge ma...
Power cord length
I made all of my power cords to length with Furutech components. The cords to my mono blocks are different lengths and I cannot tell any difference. I was trying to cut down on cord clutter behind my racks ^this makes sense^   OK, "Just for ...
Left RCA out on DAC not working
Maybe say a prayer for his surgeon.
Power cord length
I am requesting explanations/opinions/knowledge/recommendations Well the speed of light is 300 million meters per second, or 1 nano second/foot.. so a 6 foot cord will be maybe 10-15 nanoseconds depending on the insulation. I cannot imagine mu...
HT and 2 channel in same room? 1 or 2 systems?
I have a multi and 2 channel system in my room. It’s very easy if you have a 2 channel preamp or integrated with HT pass-through. As @bkeske ^says^… I picked up a used two channel preamp that has a pass through for the HT side. I also pick...
Parallel resistor in line level output
I would run without the potentiometer if the system #2 has a volume pot. Or I would use a 20k or 50k potentiometer if you had it… But it only might make a slight difference to the sound if the cables are getting high in capacitance. As @erik_squ...

Make sure to post a follow up please.

God save the generally factual ! And save me, on the generally hyperbole end… @tomic601 you took the bait.
Can I get more out of my Koetsu ?
@jasonbourne52 has a good point… but I would side wth @lewm on this lash out on the line of reasoning using that 5c investment to get a datapoint. Or push it to a quarter in Anton Segur fashion…
Parallel resistor in line level output
There is a resistor to the left of the + sign on the left side, and it is called the output impedance. If you get that number for your system, then you’ll see it is effected more as the output impedance goes higher.   if the output impedance is ...

Thank you guys!   Would the Treo CT mate well with a McIntosh MC275 VI? Just looking at the sensitivity. @tubular1 I would say no one general principle 😙, but @tomic601 runs some McIntosh and generally is pretty factual. 😁   Back in the ...
Phono Pre Gain
Ask Ron Sutherland.   But be aware that total system gain (including the sensitivity of your speakers amp and line stage) is what really matters.   herb A friend emails Sutherland about using his VdHull and did not hear back for a month o...
