Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
@kota1  Thank you for the compliment, it has taken a long time to get this where it is. I really wouldn’t change a thing except one day to get a pair of Clarisys Auditorium speakers. I heard the Minuets at AXPONA and was blown away. I do have a c...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
Hi Kota, Yes I wish I could describe how amazing the sound is. I’ve never seen DSP results like this before. I didn’t come close in my old room. It helped using the processing power of my computer I built. I let it run for 30 min at a time workin...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
I finally got my system all updated and set up with the dspNexus. All I can say is wow, the experience is transcendental. It blows my MiniDSP out of the water. The Danville Signal Team worked with me personally a number of times to work through a ...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
@nonoise his message was constructive in the quote you refer to, he’s speaking to the fact that I bought most of my stuff used and that going through the process correcting the room is smart before making any large purchases. It’s a “budget worthy...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
@kota1 Thanks! I really love this stuff. The results were awesome with the Mini DSP. The new dspNexus will be even better with much higher quality DACs dedicated to each channel and the newest SHARC audio processor; all measurements and processing...
Why Don’t You Post Your System on Your Profile?
I spent a great deal of time on here before posting my system learning and planning what I wanted to buy. I literally had nothing but a Sansui receiver and some old Dynaco speakers. It sounded ok but I wanted to learn. I will say I checked the vir...
IIR vs FIR filters. Is the sacrifice in fidelity worth the better DSP of FIR?
UPDATE 07/30/2023  I met Al Clark at AXPONA and I asked to be an early adopter of the dspNexus. It’s going to function at twice the fidelity of my MiniDSP. I can’t wait to hear the system operating at this level! I got the unit delivered last week...
Am I broken? Am I stuck? Do I have to return my audiophile card now?
Carpe Diem - If there is a deal there that allows you to do the move I would take it. Those opportunities don’t come up often. I would make the leap personally. I have had a few life events that caused me to be in a hole but I’ve still gotten a ne...
Thinking of Magnepan ... finally!
I’ve heard a lot of different speakers and I don’t think you can beat their sound for the price. . . I would put my system up with the best of them. Like others have said going with a couple of subs will help fill out the bottom end. I recommend g...
2023 AXPONA Show Report
Just got back home from the show yesterday. It was fantastic. I got a chance to meet some great people like John Siau with Benchmark and Gary Yacoubian with SVS. Two things I’m really excited about: 1. Al Clark, Pres/CEO of Danville Signal Proces...

I feel bad for Generation X and The Millennial's
@ianb52  I think Ian nailed it in his comments. What is interesting to me is my daughter loves making music and she is able to without the need and expense for a recording studio etc. She posted her first official song on YouTube Music, Apple Mus...

@ddude003  Thanks for this!

@ddude003, @luisma31  Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll check them out!!   - Steve
IIR vs FIR filters. Is the sacrifice in fidelity worth the better DSP of FIR?
Thanks Erik! The other model they have is the DDRC-88A. Reading through their literature they actually encourage the process I’m using with the 2x8 which is REW into MSO and then they do Dirac Live on top of those results and apparently the result...
