Replacing generic RECEPTACLES
@audiosens The wall plate is a tweak I've always thought was just an appearance thing.
Recent retip(canti also) Dude where did my soundstage width go
Yes Invictus you were right. Feel better now. I can honestly say I won't go that route again but I also realize there are plenty of satisfied owners of retipped carts out there in vinyl playback land. Maybe it has something to do with Grado carts ...

New in 2018
That new Neko Case record Hell On. She just keeps putting out great music. Her and her band sounded epic when I caught her with Ray L. Looking forward to Tranes new oneand very excited to get Spiritual Jazz8 soon. (Fingers crossed) I hadn't realiz...

I have to say my experience retipping absolutely confirms the above. I was optimistic it would be a nice nudge upward sound quality wise. Truthfully there are the improvements there that I wanted but it's at the expense of other facets of my Grado...
Decware and SET Low Power Tube Amps with Hi Efficency Speakers
I am using Decware HDT speakers and the Torii mk3. The amp replaces Wright Sound Mono8's. I would never consider anything less than 8 watts with my speakers that are 95db efficient unless you listen at moderate levels and aren't looking for dynami...
Moving from MM to MC
I agree that there are lots of mm/mi to explore that are worth investigating. But maybe consider a ho mc. I like the Dynavector 10x5 quite a bit. Pricey now but maybe a lightly used one. Not fussy to get up and going, nice all rounder.
New way for audiophiles to die!
Well, If it was say hypothetically A mother in law's remains embedded in single of Running With The Devil that might be just about right. Shoot I might even work on my DJ skills if that were the case.

Lewm, it's cool, I'm all about being lighthearted and trying not to take too much too seriously. So anyway, nah it wasn't touching anything(the little wire). And yes I did set Azimuth in relation to surface of an LP.  My thinking about the exposed...

I was thinking about @lewm mentioned about crosstalk and as I was looking at the pins, thinking that maybe there was something back there that might be the culprit, I noticed the right pin wire had broken through the outer sheath and in I fact not...
Changes that made a difference (in order of effect).
I posted something earlier that I need to address. Cables were switched. I'll be more careful before posting something next time
Top 5 Tonearms Newer or Vintage Under 2500 That Will Beat anything above/below 2.5k?
The transfi tonearms are not gonna be around much longer if anyone is sitting on the fence.
Changes that made a difference (in order of effect).
I recently posted a threat about retipping my cart and the resultant shrinkage of my soundstage. It has started to open up enough but something happened that has been the biggest night and day change I have experienced. My soundstage is almost unb...

You guys are nuts fo sure ; )  lubed or not. Man those torque tools ain't cheap but neither is anything else as I chase the dragon higher. I might just invest in a really nice mission appropriate flat head. I like the idea of a tiny bit of lube. I...
