What do I add to make my system HT ?
The cheap solution is "Looping in" a receiver into an "auxilary or bypass/tape/monitor input", which would power the rest of your speakers, and add processing. HOWEVER, for simple improved movie sound from your existing system, I'd simply add a Di...
Best AV Processor for 2 channel
You take your 2 channel preamp, and hook your L/R speaker set up as usually. Then, using an "auxilary input" or "bypass/monitor/tape input", you connect the L/R "amp out's" from your AV pre/pro to the 2 channel preamp, using one of those inputs. Y...
Why is 2 Channel better than multi-channel?
The next logical step for this guy is a better AV pre/pro, perhaps with "dirrect analog bypass" for his better sources.Try an older Krell HTS2. I think this has "throughput's" for analog pass-through...and the digital is unbeaten for DD/DTS and PC...
Speaker recommendation for media niche.
Too bass dominent? If you go smaller "sealed" speakers, with limited bass extension, this won't be an issue with "boom". M&K's excellent K7 and K4 satalites are superb for music/movies, very dynamic, focused, and musical/clear, and superbly en...
Receiver for pre/pro?

Best AV Processor for 2 channel
Forget trying to find the perfect "ultra expensive" pre/pro for music/movies, and use a good 2 channel pre, and "loop in" a pre/pro for movies!(otherwise receiver, questionable.)
Am I crazy????? Try THIS
Bottom line regarding why they sound better where they're at is that the speakers are probably in a much better acoustical spot overall! If your speakers are coupling with the room (bass) better, and imaging better(in relation to room boundaries f...
multi-amp's other than Parasound w/ gain controls?
Really I'm looking for a 5/6/7 channel amp for quality home theater sound for powering mini-monitors, crossed over at 80hz!The Parasound amp Im using is a tad bright of a match with the speakers I'm using. I really need something that's a tad forg...
