Isolated ground for 20 amp
If you can run 240V, you may want to use a combination step down and balanced power conditioner. The 240V will reduce voltage dropping, and the balanced power part will reduce noise. You’ll have balanced power all the way from the transformer to y...

Hello @kanchi647 @erik_squires can you please recommend a few power conditioners. I am also looking into power distributors. Pros and Cons? I go over this mostly in my blog post, but as you may know, I like to stay with less expensive brands, as I...
Does the first reflection point actually matter??
@tuberollinYou are clearly wrong .... :)  I'm joking, making fun of so many people here who can't see past their agenda.  Your experiment seems to be exactly the kind of thing I'm asking. Seriously though, what speakers are you using?? and exac...
Does the first reflection point actually matter??
@aj523To my experience, as others here have noted, diffusion at the 1st reflection points are a better idea.  They enhance imaging. Best,E

Now your post makes me question which panels are the most critical. And that’s all I’m trying to do. Imagine you place 8 vertical panels around the room, with 4 of them at reflection points. If you then rotate them all, say 15 degrees from the lis...

Running dedicated lines and power conditioners is not at all the same thing. Dedicated lines don't remove noise once it's at the pole and don't provide surge protection. I never suggest a $10k power conditioner, my suggestions were much more modes...

Hi Brian,So, low-pass means, it passes low frequencies.  High-pass passes high frequencies. You want a lowpass to the subs, high pass to the main. 80 Hz is the THX standard and a useful starting point.
Wilson Alexia 2
Don't know how old this is, but I've been able to hear ARC, D'Agostino, Parasound, Ayre and Luxman with Wilsons. ARC and Parasound were meh in very similar ways. D'Agostino, Ayre and Luxman are my happy place.

Did you try another cable?  Yes, usually there's a little click. Takes a little extra pressure.

This brings up a great topic, diffusion is better for imaging than absorption. :)

All grounds in a home must be bonded together and come to the neutral at exactly one point.  Everything else is a danger to life and property. However, you can run a ground rod loop. That is, you can put in more ground rods near your listening loc...
Does the first reflection point actually matter??
Thanks @mapman!! So the other area which to me is more important is the floor between and behind the speakers.   It seems that treble harshness always lives there. Definitely not first reflection points. Best,Erik
