DACs with switchable high/low gain (output) settings
The new Weiss DAC204 has four possible outputs from it base output to plus 10db,  20db and 30db options.
Recommend me a DAC under 3k
Currently have a Weiss DAC204 in my system on a trial.  It is a basic DAC without a lot of extra features, but the sound and detail is exceptional at its price point.  Full retail is above your desired price level, but I recommend you try to find ...

Help me select few vinyl LPs
Search Amazon for any of the Blue Note “Tone Poet” series Jazz reissues.  Have not been disappointed in any selection from this series and you could receive them quickly.
My turntable sounds like the speed is too slow
If the speed is consistent and correct then focus needs to shift to the cartridge setup.  Has it always had this “muffled vocals” presentation or is this a recent change?  Check VTF, and alignment of the cartridge as your next steps.
Need advice on what to purchase to hold 1TB of music and connect to my new Innuos Pulsar.
My music, only 1100 CDs, is already stored on a Raid and I will only use this Raid for backup.  This indicates you already have a connection from your current storage to the server and you are interested in something to use as a backup of that ...
Music Server Help
It is unfortunate that so few replies are made to the Insider posts.  This is a few months late, but I would also recommend considering the offerings from Wolf Audio.  I have been using a Wolf Alpha 3SX for a couple of years with Roon into my Gryp...
Upgrade to moving coil advice
The Hana ML would be in that OPs original price range or close.  Moving from the very good Ortofon Black MM this would be the level to be considered.
Audio technica AT6006R tonearm lifter
I agree with needing increased friction, but check the antiskate setting.  To move the arm over the lifting section of the AT6006R there may be excessive lateral force being applied or insufficient VTF.

the big one: how do you choose speakers? By what features, data?
If you can find a pair to audition I recently listened to the Vienna Acoustic Haydn Grand monitors.  They were sitting next to a pair of $13,000 floor standers that I thought were actually playing when I entered the room...  Very dynamic and room ...
user poll on seperates vs integrated
For many years I enjoyed separate preamp and stereo amps (VAC and Ayre mostly) that provided the power (separate power supplies?) for the speakers I was using at the time.  A little over a year ago I moved to a Gryphon Diablo 300 with its DAC modu...
What Does It Take To Surpass A SME V?
I currently have an Origin Live Sovereign with dual arm boards.  Mounted I have the OL Conqueror mk4 and the OL Enterprise mk4. Both arms do have enough actual weight that the floating SOTA arm board would require careful balance consideration.  P...
