Amp for Dynaudio C1 Mcintosh 402 or Cary CAD 500?
Sounds like the Pass 250.5 would be a good solution. The F12 vs F13 debate continues as I hoped I could use a single F113 vs 2 X F112. HT might benefit a bit from the larger F113 and given the supposed excellent low end response of the C1 and with...
Amp for Dynaudio C1 Mcintosh 402 or Cary CAD 500?
I'm also interested in the Pass 250.5. My reservation there is wondering if the 250 watt Pass is enough to drive the C1's. They review like the type of sound we enjoy. Not to analytical, great midrange and solid articulate bass. When I'm listening ...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
I thought about the Pass X350.5. Wasn't sure if it was a good match for my C1's although it certainly has the power and then some. Trying to pick up a pair of Cary CAD MB500's. There has to be something magical matching a Cary with a Cary right?Th...
what happened to Cary 500MB?
Thanks Ajackson. I called Cary and they pretty much confirmed what you and others have said about a mismatch. They also mentioned that the CAD MB200's should be more than enough power to drive the C1's.
what happened to Cary 500MB?

what happened to Cary 500MB?
I picked up a pair of Dynaudio C1's and found thhat my Nuforce 9SEV2's may not be enough to make these C1's sing. My preamp is a Cary SLP-05 which we hold dear. I was thinking about the McCormick DNA 500 but also had an eye on the Cary 500mb's. Wo...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
We've been back and forth between the LS6's and the C1's.With the C1's, half of my music collection which consists of everything from Mozart and Bach, to Porcupine Tree and Radiohead, to Neil Young and Robert Johnson, to Joan Osborne and Jeff Beck...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
I'm taking a hard look at the Plinius line, specifically the 301B (I think). Pass labs wouldn't be out the question and for a lot less money the Odyssey Stratos Mono Extreme's look good. I actually auditioned someone's Stratos in my home and was v...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
I took ownership on the Dyn's last week and have been tweaking the setup in our room which now seems larger than smaller. What an interesting contrast between David (C1) and Goliath (LS6).As one would expect the dynamic swings we've grown very fou...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
Well I'm throwing caution to the wind and buying the C1's. They will stand next to the line arrays and do battle. I believe that a sub will be needed as we've been spoiled by the low base quality of the arrays. I thought about the C2's but it didn...
My Line Arrays and Dynaudio monitor - where to go
The Dyns C1 I'm looking at are used. I fully expect breakin periods - some are laughable and memorable. It's all good. This is a crazy hobby as there are so many great speakers to choose from (if you have the budget;-)Funny, I've been doing audio,...
Want to play my vinyl collection - again
The Clearaudio Emotion solution looks like a great re-entry deal into vinyl. NiceHere's a dumb newb question. Regarding the Musical Surroundings Phonomena II vs the Slee Era Gold, does the Maestro cartridge work with either phono stage and what wo...
Want to play my vinyl collection - again
Good information thanks. Surprising too as it's been in my experience that performance audio companies treat users very well. Nuforce especially. I blew up one of my monoblock amps, told them so, dropped it off in the morning (they are close by) a...

Is there no Love for the Opera Consonance line? Specifically the Droplet 3.1 with the T988 tonearm.
Want to play my vinyl collection - again
LOL! Slikric great response! But I tried that turntable. Snap crackle pop. I remember those days and remember, it's like I'm a newb to vinyl again. I've been streaming FLAC for years. Hell, I've just revisted CD's cause my Oppo BDP83, which sounde...
