Beautiful Equipment Stands?
I second the Finite Elemente Master Pagode. I replaced my Zoethecus with a double wide Master Pagode, and I have to say it is both sonically and visually spectacular.Carl
Best undiscovered speakers on the market today ?
Marten DesignI traded in my Kharmas for a pair of Coltranes. These speakers have the beautiful transparent mid-range of the Kharmas, with the tight defined bass of the Wilsons. Their entire line of speakers is really exceptional.
When do you know when you're done?
Give it a couple of weeks. You'll be back
Kharma 3.2 CRM FE and which power amp?
I have the 3.2's with the Kharma Sub. I am currently driving them with the Lamm M1.2 hybrids, which were a replacement for the JL2. The CAT was a wonderful match with the 3.2's. But after a problem with the amp, and a poor response from CAT, I wen...
Does Jeff Tweedy sound like Ray Davies?
I've always thought that Wilco, at times. sounded a lot like the Kinks.I think Tweedy spent a lot of his youth listening to them.RegardsCarl
Most beautifull turntables today....
Brinkmann Balance - a work of German industrial art, and the build quality is equal to it's looks. Oh, and the sound too.http://www.brinkmann-usa.com/balanceturntable.php
Why am I experiencing listener's fatigue?
HiIf the fatigue is caused by brightness, or edginess, the room may possibly be the culprit. Do you have many hard reflective surfaces in your room? Your individual components wouldn't normally produce a bright sound, but in a lively room it can c...

Kharma 3.2 to MidiGrand Upgade???
ThomWhen I auditioned the 1.2's, I went back and forth between them and the ML2's. I honestly felt that they were so close in their presentation. I was amazed that a (mostly) solid state amp could compare to a single ended tube amp.Give them time ...
Kharma 3.2 to MidiGrand Upgade???
Since I have had my 3.2's I have been through a few different sets of electronics. It began with the Hovland preamp, and the CAT JL2.An excellent system, with all the magic the 3.2's are capable of.But of course I couldn't leave well enough alone,...
Kharma 3.2 to MidiGrand Upgade???
HiI've had the Kharma sub running with my 3.2's for about3 months now. I can tell you that the integration is seamless, and the addition of the bottom end is fantastic. My room is 15x21. The 3.2's are about 6 ft out from the front wall, and about ...
DirecTV HD question?
There is a short article about this in the latest Perfect Vision. It does say that they are planning to offer as many as 150 HD channels and unfortunately it will require a change to a five LNB dish, and a change of HD receivers. A pain, but certa...
Wall Mounting Hardware for Acoustic Panels
Hi PeterMy panels are 2' x 6'. I used 6 per panel, but I probably could have gotten away with 4. For my ceiling panels - which are 2' x 2' x 4" deep and a bit heavier, I used the z clips. Basically, RPG installed 2 on the back side of the panels, ...
Wall Mounting Hardware for Acoustic Panels
HiI just bought a # of panels from RPG, and the came with what they call impaling clips. Basically they are about 4" square flat plates with a # of protruding spikes at 45 degree angles. First you screw them into the wall. Then after determining t...
Any experience with Kharma Ceramique Sub.?
I have had the sub in my system for about 2 weeks now. I'm using it with the 3.2's. Although break in is not yet complete, I can say that this sub is nothing short of miraculous. Despite it's large size, it completely disappears, with perfect inte...
