Hey ghosthouse. I agree with you fully on the merits of doing covers. The reason I brought up the Vanessa Fernandez version was for sonics only.I have it on 45rpm 180 gm vinyl and the recording is wonderful. I also really love her voice. No connect...
Used Audio Research Preamp Options
I agree with nmolar above. I have the same pre-amp, and for my taste, and with the gear that I have, it is a wonderful pre-amp at it's price point.

Used Audio Research Preamp Options
There was a thread last week that addressed this exact question about the pre vs non-pre sett up. Have a look and you should easily find it. Personally, I prefer the pre-amp in the chain. I tried bypassing my Audio Research LS-17-SE and running my...
Is there a way to report scammers on Agon?
I'll chime in here. I personally have posted adds on Canuk Audio Mart(Canadian Site) with generic photos that I have just grabbed off the internet, in fact I have a couple of cartridges listed right now that I have done this way. Sometimes I find ...

Why do I keep torturing myself with remasters?
I am quite frustrated too, especially at the price point we are now paying for these albums. I find it "hit and miss" with the quality of most of these now.

Hey Ghosthouse. You should check out the rendition of "Be thankful for what you got" by Vanessa Fernandez on the "Use Me" LP180 gram pressing at 45 RPM. Stellar album !!
How many grams weight for mm cartridge?
I too agree that the manufacturers specs should be adhered to, but nandric brings up an interesting point. One that I had not really though about before. Suspension wear over a long period of time, if indeed, one continues to use their respective ...
A thin and elegant system?
I'm just wondering why you are concerned about how heavy your gear is.Do you move it around a lot?

Best Preamp - NO preamp... (?)
I'll add my experience here with a similar situation. I am primarily an analog listener. Vinyl is number 1 for me, but I do listen to the odd CD. It is my only digital source. Both my turntable and CD player run through an Audio Research LS17-SE, ...
