Anyone else order Caladans from Clayton Shaw?
Anxiously awaiting an honest review....
Who out there wants to, or has, validated an amazing cable find?
Is this an ad?

That's really cool. Nicely done.
Upgraded my cables and they transformed my system!!!
Congratulations. I too have experienced upgrading cables and having a "WOW" moment. Enjoy.

Did your system getting better the more money you spent or more experience you gained?
Both. Good equipment costs money, but you have to end up with a sound you like and are comfortable with. That takes experience, at least enough where you can be honest with yourself.
When you can't unhear !
I've had a few of those kinds of experiences, but there are 2 that spring to mind: First was an audition of an Esoteric SACD player. Whoah. So THAT'S what a high-end player sounds like. Bought it. The second was when I tried a SR fuse in my prea...
Tekton Open Baffle Speakers

Can we contribute
"moist" Tubes make my system sound moist and luscious.
System advice
Magnepans want power. LOTS of power. Not sure the Schiit is going to cut it.  Also, the Maggies take up space. LOTS of space. Not everyone is going to want that kind of commitment. I'd probably opt for either 1.) change the speakers (Klipsch Her...
Lifting the Christmas veil
Congrats and Merry Christmas!
Will audio gear be ok in unheated house
I own and rent cottages in one of the most inhospitable temperature-wise places in the US. Temps regularly hit -20F in the winter. I also own a house (that I occupy) on the property. I have left lots of equipment out in the barn over the winter....
Will audio gear be ok in unheated house
It will be fine. They make moisture absorbtion media (comes in a small bucket) that people use in boats when they over-winter (shrink-wrap) their vessels. Certainly an option. Google "DampRid". I’d look into that, but your plan with sealing the ...
