@xcool I would be upset as well. Sad. That has been a long term production unit. You shouldn't have had to go through that.

@xcool interesting solution and good job.   I have had my SLP-05 for 10 years and have never had a problem. Haven't even swapped out the tubes. Good investment. I have Cary Audio 805AE mono block tube amps paired.

@rodman99999 I did get thinking about bi-amping the wrong way. I wasn't thinking of using subs. But it is a good idea. I'll get room dimensions, But until then: The room is the size of a decent sized bedroom. Not a master, but a decent secondary ...

@clearthinker I think I get it. Someone told me about "sustained" power. I high WPC amp might not be able to keep up with a continuous high amount of energy need. Whereas a very good high WPC amp can sustain a high volume long duration need.
