Why no used Sanders Magtechs?
I'll chime in on the Magtechs. . .I have a pair of them driving my Sanders 10Cs. One per channel. The Magtechs are effortless. There's nothing they can't handle and their sound is clean, neutral, and balanced. I've owned a Pass X250, W4S ST1000s, a...
Rack/shelf for albums - suggestions please
I use LP Storage racks from Wood Technology Corp. They're available from Audio Advisor, or direct from the manufacturer (wood-tech.com). I wanted to go the Expedit route, but I don't have an Ikea store locally and shipping from Chicago was more th...
album cleaning solution
I like the Audio Intelligent products. You can purchase them from several online vendors, or directly from the manufacturer (osageaudio.com).
Any thoughts on TTWeights GEM table?
I have a GEM V2 rim drive and have been very happy with it. It sounds fantastic IMHO. It's very difficult to compare multiple tables in a single system due to a number of factors including space, arm, and cartridge.Rpss35. . .what do you mean?
In Illinois, who can professionally set-up my Linn
I would look up Brian Walsh of Essential Audio. He is in Chicago, but that's only a couple of hours away (most likely). He may or may not be willing to make the drive, but he seems to have a good reputation.
Options for unit that can stream music to USB DAC
I would suggest a Macbook or Mac Mini running Pure Music. Your NAS is connected to the Mac via ethernet, and can be in another part of the house if desired (mine's in the basement). Your files stay on your NAS but you create a library in iTunes. Y...
MSB power Dac gold 4
Onhwy61 may have a point. I believe MSB traditionally had a higher output voltage than standard, and this may be causing an overload in your preamp.
phono amp +/- €1500

Think you know analog?
I need to go collaborate my turntable!! :56 into the video.
Has anybody tried the Musical Fidelity M1 ViNL?
I had one in my system, along with a stock PS Audio GCPH, Sutherland PH3D, Sanders Sound Systems Phono Stage, and Linn Uphorik. The MF was the least appealing to me. It sounded lean and relatively flat.
Mint Best Tractor still in business?
I just received my tractor from Yip. . .maybe your e-mails aren't getting to him.
Turntable speed accuracy
Okay, I'm sure that I'm missing something hear as it relates to the Timeline. . .Sutherland states that if your turntable is spinning at 33 1/3 RPM it will take 1.8 seconds to complete a revolution. His Timeline flashes at this 1.8 second interval...
What would happen if Maggie and Wilson Mated?
You'd get the Sanders 10C.
Bidat vs. Perfecwave MSB Playback Design
I agree with Vhiner. I've tried running DAC to amp, and DAC to Lightspeed Attenuator to amp, and prefer the sound of a good tubed preamp in the chain.
Is Pure Music 1.8 better?
The Weiss DAC202 is not integer capable. See the thread on Computeraudiophile-dot-com.
