the crutchfield says 1-2 feet above ear level.  I assume that is a sitting ear level.  Thanks Monkey i think that's what we will target.
Home Theatre AVR recommendations (Anthem, NAD vs Denon, pioneer, marantz)
check out accessories4less.com  these are b-stock or refurbished items with warranty.  If you have a budget of $1k for receiver, it will go a little further if you don't mind the stigma of refurbished.here is something I would consider, given your...
I know nothing : Budget Under $1k
thanks everyone.. Bob. please no more comments even if your intentions are honorable in this thread.I do have a 1000w sub, but really I would rather chop a finger off than take away from having the towers run full range.I will take a look at the p...
I know nothing : Budget Under $1k
thanks for the comments. Unfortunately amps are hard to switch in and out of your system, without buying and reselling to see the impact and there is no easy formula I can find to give me a speaker threshold (correct me if I am wrong (and I did sa...

Paradigm Studio vs Prestige
RI > My local supplier indicated that literally there were only two available from Paradigm and both black. I had thought you could only buy from an "authorized" brick/mortar store.Audio> Yes, I was only really prepared to purchase the cente...
Finally upgraded to Integra 50.5
I'll take a look around at amps. Probably the one electronic device that I don't mind buying used. Thanks for the opinions. Love the new setup, running it non-stop for music.
Finally upgraded to Integra 50.5

AV Receiver Help me narrow it down
closet is more like basement. I would eventually like to load all of my blu-rays on a media server device and be able to send it to my bedroom and living room... depending.. without having the electronics accessible to the kids. All speakers are 8o...
AV Receiver Underpowered?
Hi Kriskdf - I spent some time reviewing the manual and searching. I confirmed the EXT IN. ports are not pre-outs on my AVR 1908. I need to replace it.All -I don't mind doing separate pre and amp. But am stupid about a comparison between it and an...
AV Receiver Underpowered?
Unfortunately I don't have the pre-outs with the AVR 1908. I don't think I am able to add to this am I? I was assuming I had to replace, just not sure if I need power or it is the "sound" of denon I am missing. It just has always sounded somewhat ...
