Micro RX 5000 Renaissance?
What is your criteria for an "inspired" Rx 500 table.  Any table with a heavy platter and an outboard motor?
Outer ring - who uses and what are your findings
@invictus005 wrote @lewm SME is not just a center clamp/weight. It shapes the record to the platter. You should know better. Reflex clamps are designed to couple a flat record to the platter.  In some instance, reflex clamps can tame slight warps ...
anti slip for turntable belt
Isn’t the OP looking for an anti-slip application for his belt?   IME, talc is used on TT belts to help create belt slippage in an attempt to create a friction clutch system until the platter is up to speed.
FYI if thinking about adding a Single Motor Flywheel to a VPI Prime
@tooblue, other than cost, I see no problem with a machine shop removing some of the material off the bottom of the motor housing.
Vibration control/isolation experience
@handymann wrote My first and only comment, would be I can’t think of a worse place to have your TT, than on the front wall. Corner placement is generally the worst. You can use a SPL meter to quantify how much acoustic energy is present at your TT...
Valve phono stage
@chakster  Any tube fan can explain me what is the advantages of the tube phono stage compared to the great SS design? There are no advantages per se, it just a listener preference.
FYI if thinking about adding a Single Motor Flywheel to a VPI Prime
You have a couple of options:1) Have a machine shop manufacture you a set of delrin pucks similar to your existing VPI delrin pucks but 7/8" taller.  2) Replace the VPI delrin puck with a taller aftermarket puck like the Black Diamond Racing "thic...
Repair Linn turntable vs buying a different one
The “real” upgrade cost to another table is approximately $3,200 since both tables will require a new cartridge. In addition, I am not sure that an Akito tone is an upgrade over a good functioning Ittok, therefore, you can save on a new tonearm. ...
Record collection sales addvice
I would break your 2000 collection down into more manageable lot sizes thus appealing to a larger market.  You can sort them by genre etc.  Not everyone is in the market for 2000 albums, but many may take a chance on 500 albums of a specific genre.
Would tonearm with same pivot t9 spindl
Be careful, just because a tonearm has the same P2S distance doesn't mean it can use the same mounting hole location.  The pivot on the origin live illustrious mk3c is located in the middle of the arm mounting base which would correspond with th...
RIP Dave Wilson
Some people love Wilson speakers, others not so much, but one thing that both parties have in common is everyone loved David Wilson the man. My condolences go out to his friends and family
Upcoming Technics SP-10R (100th Anniversary Model)
The 10R is 864,000 yen and the 1000R is 1,728,000 yen.  Just for displaying my passport I would get 10% off and maybe more of a discount than that. Shipping would add back some significant expense. But I’m just sayin’.... I had to look up the...
BaerWald vs VPI setup protractors
Vpi tonearm is a clever designed which allows user to adjust the P2S distance very fast. You only need to turn the elbow a few degrees to get the correct distance. (If your tonearm has the adjustable base for vta) This is no longer the case wi...
Cartridge Recommendations
Budget??
Turntable Consolidation. Is it a Consideration?
Why not get one of your tables re-plinthed with the ability to accept more than one tonearm?
