Usless but interesting many of you old timers started with original Large Advents?
Tech Hifi classic set up was my first system-Large Advents (non walnut)-HK 610 stereo receiver-Dual 1219 ttTumbleweed Connection sounded damn good on it in my bedroom in 1972
What is the most FUN pair of speakers you've ever had and why?
It was the fall of 1971 I was a junior in HS and I used every dollar I made bussing tables at a restaurant down the shore over the summer to buy a system package from a chain outfit called Tech Hifi in Bryn Mawr Pa.  The package consisted of a Dua...
Abbey Road 50th Anniversary
He's not.  Most MOFIs of that era were crap.  After playing the MOFI of Sticky Fingers my college buddies and I took it out on the beach and tossed it frisbee style into the Atlantic Ocean.  That's how bad it sounded.
Saxaphone vs. Trumpet...Which do you prefer?
A lot of the classic Blue Note jazz records from the 50s and 60s had both instruments in the ensemble with the sax on one channel and the trumpet on the other channel- I'm talking about the stereo versions of course.  They sound great together!  A...

Ken Micallef The Jazz Vinyl Lover weighs in on this topic here:
Favorite music list in order
I'll add my +1 to the time of day makes a difference camp.  I tend to gravitate to 50s and 60s jazz- especially the Blue Note titles that have been so beautifully repressed by Music Matters and others - in the morning with my coffee and newspaper....
What area or country do you live in ?
Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
Have any of you pasted the glass on your small signal tubes yet? Yes, based on your recommendation, I just bit the bullet and pasted the glass on the three 12ax7 tubes in my Eastern Electric phono preamp. OMG!! This treatment blows away every othe...
I'll take the other side.  Getting back into vinyl over the last 10 years has been by far my most rewarding experience as an audiophile.  The you-are-there realism of my vintage Thorens 125II/SME 3009II Imp/Pickering XSV 3000 is stunning, jaw drop...
