Help selecting a power cord.
@lalitk I chose Pangea based on a recommendation from a friend. They are very good cords for the money.  Power cords don't make much difference in my system because of the components.
Help selecting a power cord.
Use Pangea Audio cables on everything for power cords. I did everything at once so I can’t comment on where to start. They have different cords depending on the component type.I wouldn’t beak the bank on power cords. For me, they didn’t make much ...
Sellers: When do you drop your price?
Congrats!
Sellers: When do you drop your price?
Good luck.  I trade in my gear because selling doesn't bring good offers any more.
VPI Classic 3 Upgrades or Move On to Something New
Hi,The SDS does ensure the platter is spinning precisely at 33 1/3 RPM. It does this by allowing you to vary the frequency (hz) of the electricity coming into the motor.  Mine takes about 59 hz. to spin at 33 1/3.  Once set, the SDS regulates th...
VPI Classic 3 Upgrades or Move On to Something New
I have a Classic 3 and did the SDS upgrade. It was amazing to get the correct speed on the platter. Everything was a clearer, truer and easier to understand. My suggestion is to get a kit to measure the platter speed and a VPI SDS to regulate the ...
Recommendations for PC -- for modest system --

Power Conditioners
Try the Stellar Power Plant 3 from PS Audio. Give them a call to see if it can power your whole system. They have a good return policy. Also for a big difference, try acoustic wall treatments from GIK. Call them for suggestions.
Gaining listening experience without spending money
It can get expensive.  Without hearing them, I bought a set of MIT Magnum cables. They didn't sound as  good as I thought they would, so I ended up with MIT Oracle cables.  It would have been far cheaper to skip the Mangum line and go directly to ...
tidying up cables
My biggest improvement was keeping power cords away from phono preamp interconnects.  They had to run parallel to each other, so I used zip cords to bundle like cables together (my phono preamp has two power cords). Then glass votive candle hold...
Best Preamp round $8000
BAT tube preamps are my go-to. They have the classic tube sound, are made with the best components and easy to maintain. The companies owner always took my calls and answered emails to give me advice. If you are looking for solid state, Spectral i...
I'm interested in hearing what "the best" systems sound like, where to go?
Boston - Goodwin's High End - Spectral Audio.  Let me know what you think.
Whats in your second system?
My second system is the car stereo.
I need advice for power cords
Try Pangea power cables at Audio Advisor. Very reasonable price. I use them with Spectral mono blocks and Spectral preamp. I am satisfied with the results.
Seriously considering tube preamp…opinions?
BAT all the way.  There are a couple of good options on AG now.  I had a VK-75SE and VK-32SE comb.  I started with the VK55SE.  You will have to start with a preamp and wait for the AMP to stay within your spending budget.
