Harbeth M40.1 vs. M40.2 vs. M40.2 Anniversary Edition vs. M40.3XD
UPDATE! @pdreher @jjss49  I picked up a pair of M40.1 in cherry. Not the rosewood I preferred but still nice.    I’m loving them! They give me that familiar glorious midrange that my P3ESRs have. Vocals and acoustic instruments just make me fall...
Harbeth 30.1 or 40.1
@snackeyp Interested to know if you still own the Harbeth M40.2 Anniversary. I'm debating on this speaker or 40.1. My preference is a warm, smooth sound with beautiful midrange. I've loved my P3ESRs (not the Anniversary or XD version) for 10+ year...
Harbeth M40.1 vs. M40.2 vs. M40.2 Anniversary Edition vs. M40.3XD
@donquichotte it seems from your assessment, I’d likely be safe with any iteration of M40. @jjss49 i can’t thank you enough for the comprehensive comparison. I scoured forums for days and I’m glad I asked. I read in one review of the XD, that th...
Harbeth M40.1 vs. M40.2 vs. M40.2 Anniversary Edition vs. M40.3XD
@jjss49 You don't think I'll be put off by the upper frequencies of the Anniversary & XD editions? That's the primary reason I want move away from the Sasha, I've tried, with some success, to tame the top end. Tube amps, room treatment, R2R DA...
Rega Planar 3: Is the Exact a significant upgrade from the Elys 2?
I lived with the P3 w/ Elys 2 for 5 years and thought vinyl was a cool hobby. It wasn’t until I upgraded to the Exact that I understood why analog playback is so beloved. It’s significantly better, I wish I would have purchased it originally.

What's a better choice? Manley Steelhead Phono or Audio Research Reference 2SE Phono?
@rikintpa what were your impressions on Steelhead vs ARC REF 2SE?

UPDATE: I brought home a pair of ARC REF160M mono blocks to power the Sasha’s. Wow!!! These amplifiers are a wonderful match. So much more musical than the Pass INT-30A and Pass X350. Tone and timbre are beautiful. They are relatively lightweight...
Are Harbeth the only warm and euphonic speakers in town ?
@thr1961 you have a wonderful selection of gear. I’m looking for ARC Ref 160M’s because I think they’d do well with my Wilson Sasha’s and my other room with Harbeth. Hoping to score a preowned pair.  Out of curiosity, where did you get the Palmer ...

@plaw which Rowland model do you have? @chayro that’s what I’m afraid of. I’m going to try better amps and see where I end up. In fairness, I haven’t given the Sasha’s the amps they deserve yet. Front end is also pretty entry level. If that doesn’...

@audiotroy Every Zesto room I heard at Axpona was amazing, it not only sounded great, it felt right on an emotional level. Along with the ARC Ref / Vandersteen bookshelf room, I really got tube fever.

Luxman is certainly a contender. Anyone ever mono blocked a pair of M900U’s? D’Agostino and Gryphon seem out of reach but I’ll consider.

@gpgr4blu excellent summary. You've actually experience all of these amps so I really value and appreciate your opinion. I'm leaning Ref 160M since I know I won't have issues getting them serviced, plus they're gorgeous, auto bias, longer tube lif...
