recommendation for rca interconnect for deeper bass for dac to preamp
All the twist does is make the wires farther apart (higher inductance) and make the wire effectively longer (higher resistance).Expect the oil would not do a lot. Already have air around it.

oldhvymec,17 awg, and high inductance --- not a great target for a cable, but they sure are purdy!
Vexing Problem
Could be a hardware issue with the Accuphase. Odds are the DAC external and internal have high analog signal levels. Something could be wrong with the Accuphase that clears up once it heats up. It certainly would not be unheard of. Given that atte...
Painted Wall As A Home Theater Screen vs Traditional Screen Fabric
Encyclopedic knowledge ... oooookay. No, a painted wall and a screen are not the same thing. And YES, the color of the wall absolutely matters. It matters a lot.Grey is not a color. It is white (reflective) with black (absorbs). However, many grey...
What tests would you like all speaker reviewers to do for their reviews?
On axis frequency response (common)Phase response (common)Off axis up and down on many points and out to 90 degrees (helps for room response determination) - preferably without smoothing so that anomalies are more evidentAccelerometer on several c...

You have a choice. You can either buy another cable, or 2, or 3, or 10, and somewhere convince yourself along the way that the bass is better, maybe you will throw in a cable elevator, or something, and sure, for a day, a week, a month you will be...
Painted Wall As A Home Theater Screen vs Traditional Screen Fabric
No, just no :-) ... it will not be as good. You will also lose gain compared to what you have now. You have a good mid-end screen, and basically moving to a low end screen. There are some screen specific paints out there, not overly cheap. If you ...
Speaker sensitivity vs SQ
also, as an ESL owner, I think about the sonic impact of transformers and edge clamping distortion as well as energy storage in the panel....ain’t no free lunch Don't forget flexing and subtle mechanical movement of the panel :-).   Good post to...
Speaker sensitivity vs SQ
Realworldaudio,While I agree with some of what you wrote, ie that high eff speakers will reveal more amp issues, I can't agree with much else. They won't reveal any more of the signal chain than the amp.I find other statements mainly conjecture ba...

But a signal on a wire to great accuracy is not one of them.
Perfect Path "Solutions" (PPS) eMat
We will just give you the self awareness prize. It carries a higher monetary award. 2 cents :-)     .... and that was a joke, not a barb.
Grounding with a Earth box?
5:00 am in the morning until 2:00 am the following morning, the electrical is extra noisy. 21 hours of the day and night, I might be able to help that some way, WITHOUT killing the dynamics of my systems..OR my pocket book.. Junior my rabbit, n...
What is the Silliest Accessory You Have Ever Seen.
That must have been the kiddie tour :-).   On one of our tours, they turned all the lights off for about 5 minutes so people could feel the absolute dark. Maybe it was less.   I can't remember if that was the full day underground tour, or a differ...
Acoustic treatment question: do you agree with Dennis Foley that $46k to $65k is required?
16.5 lbs/sq. feet, yes they are heavy. Look really peaky though. Lots of absorption at 50Hz, lots at 250Hz. Not a lot anywhere else.  Better hope you nodes are there or you may not get what you want:https://acousticfields.com/wp-content/uploads/20...
