Blood On The Tracks MoFi UD1S
My favorites are John Wesley Harding, Blonde On Blonde , and The Basement Tapes. Best Of Bob- Vol 2 is killer.
Pulling myself out of old, broken equipment, one hesitant step at a time...
I live in Tucson. 50 days over 100 and counting. Run a tube amp. Not a problem. But sounds like you don't need a new amp. And the price to fix your speakers sounds like a rip off.
Klipsch K Horns (the new AK6)
Had a pair of LaScalas in a huge living room powered by a custom made SE EL84 amp from Don Allen- RIP. Kicked a-- on anything from solo guitar to jazz trios to symphonies to rock. FWIW.
Got to visit Audio Alternatives
I remember- I think- an Audio Alternative in Cali- San Diego? Maybe I was dreaming. Or it was a publication like the early Stereophile. Talking 70s here.
My Thoughts re: Dealers Posting on Audiogon
Sorry. New here. I had no idea dealers and manufactures posted here. How would I know? I never saw any ID that said so and so was.... whatever. If that's true, or I'm slow to the game, there should be some sort of ID upfront to discern. Thanks.
Is this sign of getting old?
If you like Duane Allman, listen to him on "Loan Me A Dime" ---The album version. Pure bliss.
KD 500 w/ Grace 707 arm. Stylus type.
Wow! Thanks so much for all the prompt and informative replies. I just found an unused Audio Technica LS 400 which I understand has high compliance and the possibility to upgrade to a  Shibata or Microline stylus. Thanks again for the help!

Thanks for all your replies! There is no way to adjust VTA or SRA on the fly with this tonearm. Not buying a new one. I'm fine with that. I agree that I need a high compliance cartridge. I was just wondering if I could get a high compliance cartri...

Thanks! When I put the 707 on it was with  a Grado FTE+1? The hum was deafening. Switched out to a Radio Shack R27? Like a Shure M75 I think. No hum, sounds good. Just wondering what's out there. All the special styli seem to produce best if the t...
What Sonically is the Difference between a $1,500 CD Player and a $10K-$25K One?
I have an old Magnavox changer with a tube output. Suits me just fine.
I lied to my wife about the price of Stax 009S headphone
I buy used at bargain prices. Then sell for more. Long as I do that my wife doesn't care what comes thru the door.
Job SYS closed business
Just wondering. Would the STA be enough to power a pair of the new small Magnepans?
Your favourite music movie?

@jond  Dude, you paid $90K for your gear? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1964-volkswagen-bus-6/ My stuff cost about what I paid for a beat up Fiat 600. It did have suicide doors.
Dealers and exaggerated treble
I live in Tucson. Only "dealer" is Best Buy. Found the opposite. They were demoing some equipment and the bass was too loud, slow and muddy. SMH and left. We had some really good dealers BITD. Don't know where to go now.
