ayre V-5xe or Bel Canto ref500m

I currently am using BC ref500m's with an Ayre CX-7eMP, Aesthetix Calypso pre and Von Schweikert VR-2's
Any thoughts on going to an Ayre V-5xe? Is the Ayre really that "light" in the bass region? Pros and cons?

currenly running the v-5xe with sonus faber cremonas, i find the bass to be great, not familiar with vonschweikert.
