Jadis JA30 - Quad ESL63 .. 4,8 or 16ohms?

Hello guys ,

I have a friend who owns a pair Quad ESL63 and he drives them with two Jadis JA30 KT88 monoblocks
He always used his JA30 with 16 ohms internal setup .. but we have read somewhere he could get better result setting his JA30 for 4 ohms
Do you agree or did you have better results with other settings?

And what about the little new stereo Atmasphere S-30 MKIII .. Stiltskin?
Too little or not enough for the Quads ESL63?

The ESL 63 needs more power than the S-30 can provide- at a minimum you need the M-60s.

If you can afford it, the Berning ZH270 is a tremendous match with the 63's. Cheers,

My pair of ears suggest full agreement concerning ESL63s-MA-1 and M-60 combinations with what Ralph has pointed out here, I am just now setting up a second system with them and the sound is highly promising!
