Sounds like it needs service. The transport and/or the laser could be out of alignment or stuck (and/or dirty, among many other things..)...
audio analogue transport trouble
I've been having a problem with the transport on my audio analogue maestro v1 cd player. It wont track the last 2 or 3 songs on any discs. Has anyone had problems with a transport like this before? Love the sound of the player so I'm thinking of buying a transport, any suggestions?
