RCA analog cable choices

I will preface that I am not looking to spend more the $500 on a pair of RCAs. I want a decent pair of RCAs but I have too many other expensive hobbies. Less is even better.  I am sure there is a point of diminishing returns somewhere in the ether - way above my price point - but I am sure there is some version of diminishing returns somewhere in the $200 - $500 price point... so given the limitations of my own system - I am looking for that sweet spot. No sense in spending more than I have to or want to spend.

I picked up a Cambridge Audio: MXN10 and the DacMagic200M for a decent price and need some decent RCAs to go to my preamp. All in my entire system is less mid fi comparable to what is out there... but its my system. :)

I don't have a dedicated  2ch system yet. But working on it - my current system:

ATI 200 X 7 AMP
MARANTZ 7704 preamp
b&w CDM9NT - KIMBER 8TC speaker cables
Cambridge Audio MXN10 AND DAC200M

It was a system that was dedicated to home theater use - but we honestly don't watch many movies ever.  So I really am migrating to just 2ch ... I am looking for a stop gap until I can invest in a real system with real money but for now --

I was considering the following:

kimber: pbj, hero
tributairies 6 or 8 series
BJC - LC2

I know there a dozen others that are out there - small custom shops etc...

Given my system - anyone have any input or thoughts on where I should 'start'. I was leaning hard for the kimberr pbj and hero just because I have experience with Kimber products - and I am happy with the result -- but I am open to suggestions.

Note:
My room acoustics are not ideal - hardwood floors with large area carpets. In great  room with kitchen and couch etc... have drapes etc.. but not professionally tuned by any means.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you can still find used Audioquest King Cobra for around $100.
They used to be quite expensive and had great reviews as "Python", but Audioquest to stay competitive moved production to China and rebranded them as King Cobra.  They were my primary cables and now I use them in the second system.

I very much like Rega interconnects which are composed of off the shelf Klotz cable and the current Couple 3 like the first Couple interconnect use Neutrik RCAs. The Couple 2 which has been discontinued used a proprietary locking RCA that was designed to Rega specifications. Very nice interconnect but I don't believe it was well received by the public because locking RCAs in use to the uninitiated can seem counter intuitive but I still love the two pairs that I have. The couple three is still very nice though as well as reasonably priced and I use one pair to connect my Magnum Dynalab tuner to whatever line input I'm using at the time. The other plus is that you can look up Klotz and Neutrik online for yourself where you can view their catalogs as well as glean information from other sources about their reputation in the industry.

I will add that the Rega's are no nonsense and designed for the long haul and if you look at Rega's literature about them there is very little hype used in their marketing approach. Says a lot!

Cardas Crosslink is a winner at a low price point; https://www.dedicatedaudio.com/collections/cardas/products/cardas-crosslink-interconnect-pair . Warm and still detailed, very EVEN across the entire  frequency spectrum, bass /midrange / treble to my ears and in my systems.

I needed s 5 meter cable to connect my desk computer to my system across the room. I bought a low price Wireworld Luna pair and was floored at the improvement, especially with the imaging. After that I bought multiple pairs of their higher priced offerings and heard improvements every time. Try a 1 meter pair of their Oasis interconnects for $160 and you'll be hooked. Their phase response can't be beat at this price point.

If that's the to $tiff for you., their Lunas and Streams are half and quarter the price and are still representative of Wireworld's house sound. I've used them in my TV and desk systems with great satisfaction.
