I think you have been asking about this TT for a long time now?
@fj40jason You're not wrong. Life keeps getting in the way. Gives me too much time to get distracted and start going down other rabbit holes... like subs ![]()
Subs or Turntable?
I’ve long wanted a VPI turntable, and I’m very drawn to the Prime series.
But the budget keeps being pushed out, and logically I think a pair of subs would make a stronger impact on the sound. Looking at REL t7x, which comes in lower than the TT.
So subs or TT? Logic or heart? What would you do?

For what it's worth, I purchased an SVS SB2000 Pro Subwoofer and noticed an immediate and substantial improvement in my system (Rogue Cronus Magnum lll Amp - it has dedicated outputs for two subs, Focal Aria 948 Speakers). Don't know if you really need two subs. I added a second SVS Sub and the change wasn't nearly as dramatic. Just my experience. Good luck in your search.

Subs first....
Since you already have a decent turntable......why bother with another turntable? ....Just het a good top loading cd player, buy some high quality Japanese SHM cds, Blu-Spec cds, UHQCDs and SACDs. It will feel like a organic ritual when you play the cds..... and sound a whole lot better than the motherload of horse dung quality vinyl pressings out there. If you stick with vinyl only, your playlist might get smaller & smaller due to the above mentioned.
