My wife uses an exercise device (think it's called a stair stepper) that sounds exactly like the hand clapping from Cream's "I Feel Free" when she uses it.

Perhaps some oil/graphite would be a remedy, but I kind of like it.

I coached her to announce "and a thousand" when she finishes/dismounts after 50 repetitions.
