Do both cables have to be the same length?

There's unlikely to be an audible difference, but I agree with the idea to consider resale value, and that in the future you may want those extra 2'.

What happens if you get them mixed up? You know, left and right. Won’t one be to short and one to long. Just saying.. LOL Suppose you could return them and say they were made up backwards..
