Does this happen often?

Spend a very enjoyable hour in the most succulent sweet spot, then for whatever reason click on this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewy8gSI7a08 and get about as big a kick even though its on the laptop.

This is coming from a completely different direction and you really have to be a fan to appreciate it, but there's a certain magic to this one:

The performance is from one of their first shows of this early tour.  Video quality is just horrendous, but audio is quite good for its age.  The intro she plays is rare and hasn't been done anywhere else, and Nancy is just stunning in this performance.
If you get a kick from your laptop, that’s just your ears/brain adapting. THAT is what “break in” really is from speakers, electronics, cartridges.

Nope. THAT is what happens when great music is performed by major talent.

I’m sure you don’t really mean to say you know my own personal experience. We never met. Even if we had, that would be like telling me you know I don’t really love my wife. It would be unspeakably rude, arrogant, and ignorant. That would be just about the lowest worst thing a man could be.

Or it could be you meant to say you aren’t able to hear, and your brain is slow adapting. In that case who am I to argue? You're the expert.
