Prolific song writer, composer and multi instrumentalist. No mention of cause.

My mid teens though, well today I guess is heavily influenced by Bill. It’s a debt I cannot repay.

That's very sad. I thought he did a great job as drummer for R.E.M. after Bill Berry left. We saw them live a few times, and I'll never forget their appearance on "Austin City Limits". Big shock...and only 59.
