Why no speakers with remote control tone controls?

It baffles me that most speakers don't have this!!!. You get up and make an adjustment then sit back down then repeat repeat!!!!! If I was a gadget creator I'd make a device with fingers to move the settings!  Hello manufacturers are you listening? Thanks for letting me vent.

BTW, @csmgolf hit it on the head.


There are active speakers with such features, and act as I explained. Line level tone controls before the amplifier portion. :)

 Now THAT is a great idea, at least for convenience. The tone, loudness, and even balance would best be controlled right at the listening position.

Of course, you can get a preamp or integrated to do this all for you, it's how most do it.

I have not seen one with a remote that would include bass, treble, and other functions from the listening chair. It sounds as though the active units have all that, and probably a lot more.
